It was signed on Monday, January 13, 2020, the acquisition of 10% of the share capital of SENFLUGA Energy Holdings SA by DAMCO ENERGY SA, a company of Copelouzos Group, effectively sealing a long and constructive dialogue between the two parties that share the same strategic vision.
The investment on behalf of DAMCO has been structured according to the same terms and conditions as the acquisition of DESFA by SENFLUGA and in compliance with the applicable regulatory framework. The closing of the transaction took place after receiving all required approvals.
It is recalled that in December 2018, following an international tender, SENFLUGA S.A. acquired a percentage of 66% of the share capital of DESFA. Upon completion of the acquisition, the shareholder’s structure of SENFLUGA is formed as follows: Snam with 54%, Enagas and Fluxys with 18% each and DAMCO with 10%.
With this investment, SENFLUGA’s commitment and plans to further develop DESFA as a leading gas infrastructure company in the Eastern Mediterranean region, remain unchanged; with the addition of an important Greek industrial group, such as the Copelouzos group in the shareholding structure, the connection with Greece is strengthened and the full interest in the solid growth of DESFA and the country as a whole becomes even more obvious.
