The new Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) and the new Internal Labor Regulation (ILR) were signed on Thursday, November 28, 2019, between the Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator (DESFA) and the BoD of the Employees’ Union of the Company (SEDESFA), in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
One year after the privatization of DESFA and having analyzed in depth the demands of a modern and flexible organization, the new CLA and ILR, were defined through a collective and demanding negotiation, in order to determine the new conditions of employment in DESFA. The new CLA and the new ILR aim to act as a main lever for the internal development, with a focus on responsibility meritocracy and by providing certainty of employment and possibility of growth for all the employees.
On the occasion of the signing of the new CLA and ILR, Mr. Nicola Battilana, Chief Executive Officer of DESFA, mentioned: “To work in DESFA should give us a sense of pride, because of the glorious history of our Company and our past achievements, but it must also be as a daily challenge, considering the constant need to be ahead of the development of the energy market and the importance that the growth of the natural gas demand has for Greece. With the new contract agreement, we set the foundations of a sustainable development of the company, where the qualifications, the initiatives and the skills of the employees along with the company’s economic performance will guide the growth of the employment and of wages in line with the regulatory framework that DESFA is obliged to fulfil”.
