With reference to the train accident in Tempi, DESFA confirms the proximity of the high pressure pipeline to the location of the accident. The pipeline runs parallel to and at a distance of 10 meters approximately from the railway tracks, while following the collision, the derailed train ended up over the pipeline crossing.
The company's technical personnel went to the scene to inform the representatives of Civil Protection and the Fire Brigade about the exact location of the high pressure pipeline in the area.
DESFA also carried out, after the accident, all the necessary technical assessments, including the In Line Inspection (ILI), to confirm the integrity of the pipeline and rule out any non-visible damages.
