DESFA, in the framework of its cooperation with the University of Western Macedonia in matters of education, training, research and entrepreneurship, has successfully completed the provision of training services in the 5th study cycle of the Master’s Program on “Energy Investments and Environment”. Our instructors delivered a total of 20 hours of lessons covering the following topics:
- Natural Gas and Green Fuels Infrastructure
- Gas metrology – Quality characteristics
- Natural Gas Metrology – Quantitative Measurements
- Renewable Gases – Biomethane & Hydrogen
- Cooperation opportunities with DESFA: Technical Training Center, Innovation Lab, Corporate Social Responsibility Actions
The students had the opportunity to visit the Operation & Maintenance Center of Nea Messimvria and the new Technical Training Center of DESFA, showing particular interest in the role and operation of the company’s facilities and projects.
We would like to thank the University of Western Macedonia and congratulate the students of the program who excelled in the final exams! Excited to share the successful completion of our recent 4-day LNG #firefighting training, held in collaboration between DESFA’s Technical Training Center and Marine Safety Consultants. This comprehensive #training program empowered LNG Terminal personnel, including field operators and firefighters, with advanced and tailored firefighting techniques to effectively address potential challenges. Key highlights of the training include:

DESFA and the International Hellenic University signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of actions in matters of technical education and training in natural gas networks. Through this collaboration and in view of the operation of the new Technical Training and Research Center of DESFA in Nea Mesimvria, DESFA further strengthens its synergies with recognized academic institutions on issues related to natural gas networks for the joint undertaking of actions and services in matters of education, training, as well as research and innovation, with special emphasis on research partnerships on green energy and sustainable network development . #operatingwithknowledge
