Ship Certification and Certified Ships

The Ship Certification Regulation regulates all the actions required in order to:

The necessary exchange of data / information between the Operator and the LNG User or the LNG Vessel’s Representative regarding the technical and safety specifications for the Connection, Connection, Injection, Disconnection and Departure of LNG Vessels from the LNG Facility, as well as the type and content of the LNG Vessel’s certificates of fitness and inspections.
To carry out the procedure for checking and certifying the compatibility of a LNG vessel with the LNG Facility and any other action deemed necessary in carrying out the verification of the above elements.

After the Operator has assessed all the necessary parameters, it decides whether the LNG carrier is included in the LNG Certified Vessel List.
