LNG Services

Description of Services

DESFA shall provide to the LNG Users, Services for the use of the LNG Facility on the Revithoussa island of in the Gulf of Megara, in the most economic, transparent and direct way, without discrimination between Users and categories of Users.

The LNG Facility Use Services include:

A) LNG Cargo Unloading, i.e. LNG ship connection, LNG injection and LNG ship disconnection.

B) Making available to the LNG User Temporary Storage Space

C) The Re-Gasification of the LNG Cargo and its subsequent injection into the Transmission System, through the LNG Entry Point “Agia Triada”.

D) The performance of the necessary measurements and any action required for the efficient, safe and cost-effective operation of the LNG Facility, in the context of the provision of the services mentioned above.

In addition, at the LNG facility, DESFA has the ability to offer to LNG tankers, berth, line and station equipment provision services for:  Inerting of the ship’s tanks, Gassing up, Cooling down of the ship’s tanks, Partial loading with a sufficient quantity of LNG, Supply of liquid nitrogen & Supply of fresh water (non-potable).

The Revithoussa LNG Terminal, with a storage capacity of 225,000 m3. and an hourly Re-Gasification capacity of 1400 m3 of LNG under normal operating conditions (Sustained Maximum Send out Rate – SMSR) is one of the most important national infrastructures of the country, providing security of energy supply, operational flexibility in the National Natural Gas Transmission System and increased ability to meet emergency requirements of the LNG market for the reception of larger LNG vessels up to the size of Q max.
