In the framework of the “Energy Contribution” Scheme, DESFA’s Corporate Social Responsibility Programme and more specifically in the Sports sector, the Operator’s running team participated actively in the 8th Running Race “Ioannis Kapodistrias”, that took place on Sunday, January 27th at Aegina island. With the good weather being their ally, DESFA’s employees ran to 5 and 10 km at a scenic route by the sea. Their effort was awarded at the finishing line, where they received their medals with delight and pride.
Mr. Nicola Battilana, the new CEO of DESFA and Mr. Petros Theodorakis, Administrative Services Division Director & Head of Public Relations and Communications, travelled at Aegina to accompany and actively support with their presence the team, waiting for each participant at the finishing line.
The island of Aegina hosted more than 2.000 runners of all ages, in a celebration dedicated to classic sports, giving the joy of participation to all, regardless of their physical condition. Nearly the whole team of DESFA participated, representing worthily the spirit of fair competition and “Fair Play”. But, above all, they had fun and came closer as a team.
Upon its return, the running team set as its future goal to participate in even more races and to be enhanced with even more colleagues/supporters of the athletic ideal.
