Athens, May 20, 2025 – DESFA held its first-ever “Suppliers Day” on Monday, May 19, at a central hotel in Athens, in an event dedicated to strengthening strategic cooperation with its suppliers. The initiative aimed to foster meaningful relationships, transparency, and open dialogue as common foundations for building a sustainable and resilient supply chain that evolves and grows mutually.
Under the central theme “Strengthening Strategic & Sustainable Partnerships”, DESFA’s first Suppliers Day brought together over 200 representatives from partner companies and suppliers. The event showcased DESFA’s vision and strategy for the coming years through a series of presentations highlighting the Ten-Year Development Plan, plans forthe Construction, Maintenance and Digitization of its infrastructure, along with the progress of the DESFA+ Innovation Centre.
Particular emphasis was placed on procurement and sustainability topics, as the event also presented key findings from four thematic workshops held in previous months with the participation of selected suppliers. These workshops focused on critical areas such as:
- ESG & Corporate Responsibility
- Digitization of the Supply Chain
- Health, Safety, Quality & Environment
- Risk Management & Operational Security
In her opening remarks, DESFA CEO Maria Rita Galli emphasized the importance of collaboration as a cornerstone of the organization’s strategy: “Today, more than ever, collaboration and transparency are essential to our success.
