Desfa Innovation Center represents an advancement in DESFA’s efforts to engage with the domestic knowledge and innovation ecosystem, creating a well-organized framework for fostering synergies. Desfa Innovation Center aims to:
- Encourage the adoption of innovative practices: Through Desfa Innovation Center, DESFA acquires an important tool for the development and adoption of innovative practices that will allow the Operator to stay one step ahead of technological developments.
- Facilitate collaboration with startups and other organizations: Desfa Innovation Center provides a stable framework for fostering collaborations and harnessing innovations generated by key players within the knowledge and innovation ecosystem, including universities, research centers, and startups.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation within the organization: DESFA’s new structure aims to cultivate and promote a comprehensive culture of innovation, laying the groundwork for a forward-thinking business culture that embraces cutting-edge technologies.
Desfa Innovation Center will oversee existing partnerships between the organization and universities and research centers. It will also be responsible for issuing calls for new ideas and solutions, which will not be limited to the energy sector and will be open to all eligible entities. Moreover, the evaluation and funding of selected projects will now fall under the purview of the Desfa Innovation Center. In the long term, the Center aims to become an enabler of innovation, serving as a central meeting point for all entities involved, including startups, research centers, venture capital firms, public entities, and others interested in advancing innovations within the broader gas value chain infrastructure.
