DESFA once again stands as an active supporter of the collective effort for energy saving, reduction of emissions and the enhancement of sustainable growth, through the recent creation and upkeep of the Guarantees of Origin registry of the “Regulator of Renewable Energy Sources & Guarantees of Origin” (DAPEEP).
Guarantees of Origin is a green label and tracker that certifies that one MWh of electricity has been produced from Renewable Energy Sources (RES) or a High Efficiency Cogeneration Heat and Power (CHP) Plant in a given time period.
With its entry in the Registry and possessing a significant number of Guarantees of Origin, DESFA proves its commitment and the course of its strategy, understanding fully the crucial nature of its activities and their effects in the energy mix and the country’s overall environmental footprint in the energy production.
Simultaneously, being a stable ally of the environment, DESFA, through the Certified System of Environmental Management under EN 1400 and its various activities, continues actively to plan and invest in the improvement of its operations in total, placing sustainability and the maximum preservation of natural resources at the forefront.
